SAS BI Dashboard (query return)

QUERY ERROR!

Query error for indicator data 'test'

This query returns > 10000 rows. The maximum number of rows permitted is 10,000. To reduce the number of rows returned by the query or to increase the maximum permitted, contact SAS technical support.

Is there any alternative way out than call the technical support?? and what if i try to reduce the records but my outcome is not the same as OLAP Cube, is it possible?

If possible, aggregate the data to reduce the number of rows to return. If you must increase the number of observations that are allowed in queries, add the maxRowCount parameter to the appropriate .dsx file.

Typically, the value that you specify for maxRowCount should exceed the total number of observations that are returned by data sources at your site. You can add the maxRowCount parameter and a value to the following DSX files:

  • dboard_sas.dsx (for SQL queries)
    • infomap.dsx (for information maps)
    • omr.dsx (for tables)
    • stp.dsx (for stored processes)

Here is an example from the infomap.dsx file where the maxRowCount parameter has been added with a value that specifies a maximum limit of 25,000 observations:

you can see how to modify the.dsx file here : Increasing the Limit for Observations from Data Sources

To modify a .dsx File in SAS Management Console, follow these steps:

On the Folders tab in SAS Management Console, navigate to System then select Administration then select SAS BI Dashboard then select SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 then select Data Source Definitions. In the right pane, right-click on the .dsx file. Select Write Content to External File. Edit the file that you exported, and save your changes. Right-click and select Add Content From External File(s) or Directories. Select the .dsx file you modified, and replace the previous .dsx file. To enable these changes to take effect, restart your Web application server.
