Main Accountabilities:
- To elicit business requirements from business process owners and users;
- To translate business requirements to technical requirements;
- Design business application and develop functional specification;
- Proactively identify areas for continuous improvement from both process and system perspective to increase productivity and efficiencies for business as well as improved systems stability for IT;
- Depending on assignments and size of projects, play different role(s) in various stages of the SDLC, such as system owner, technical lead, project management, etc;
- Work with other teams in IT and coordinate system related activities;
- Provide on-going Level 2 & 3 application support to ensure issues escalated by Apps Support is addressed in a timely manner;
- Analyze root cause of application system issues and provide the fix;
- Provide periodic system(s) training to internal Application team to ensure team members‘ knowledge are level up to the latest system changes;
- Provide system briefing/training to key business users.
Appropriate level of education, knowledge and working experience:
- Degree in computer science or related discipline from a reputable university;
- Applications using ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, Angular JS in SQL Server 2012/above and SQL reporting services;
- More than 3 years recent hands-on experience in system analysis and development;
- Experience in both web-based and windows-based application;
- Preferably with Shipping industry experience but not compulsory.

- Strong in English verbal and written communication in order to liaise with business stakeholders globally on business requirements and developers on working level;
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision while also an active team member to share knowledge, support team members on system integrations requirements/risks to ensure overall systems stability and performance;
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure, on multiple concurrent tasks, and to deliver to agreed deadlines;
- Good team player to participate in team/department level activities;
- Ability to respond to emergency situations.
