Outpatient Pharmacy Automation Sytem (OPAS) is a highly complex and novel system, and is the first in region to integrate different high-speed automated dispensing machines and robotics, smart conveyors and even industrial robot armatures and assembling industry. Developed by IHiS together with our public healthcare institutions and suppliers, OPAS has transformed the way prescriptions are traditionally filled in the pharmacy. Each institution’s OPAS is customized with different combinations of robots and multidisciplinary technologies, depending on the business needs within the different pharmacy setting. Up to 80% of the medication dispensing processes are now automated in the Public Health Institutions, enabling prescriptions to be filled in a safer, more efficient and more productive manner. Since OPAS, patient’s waiting time in pharmacy have reduced improving overall patient’s experience.
