What is a range in SAS dashboard?

Must we have a range? Is the range used for indicator data or indicator? Do i create the range first or the indicator first

It is not a must to have range. Range is used for indicator. You need to create the indicator data first before creating indicator and range if you need to.

A range defines the measurement intervals by which a metric is evaluated. In addition to the code intervals, the range also defines the colors and labels displayed in an indicator.

It is not a must to create the range, however, you need to create the indicator data first before you can create the indicator.

Range is something like for indicator . It is normally accompanied with the use of colors , shades of colors ! Not compulsory but I think it is better to have if your data suites

It is definitely not a must but it is advised and better to have it in your SAS Dashboard , however you must make sure it suites . It is good to have extra things but you just have to make sure it is meaningful and there is a purpose behind it . It helps users to visualize things easily by using range as it helps to categorizes large amount of Data .

Range is also used for indicator , and you would need to create the indicator data and the range . Hope it helps .

The range the dashboard is referring to is the intervals for each measurement of the variables and values . The range can be differentiated by the colors , eg: Red , orange or even dark red or lighter red . Range can also be considered as an indicator example, red for high, dark red for very high and orange for intermediate.

Range refers to intervals for the measurements . Range can be specified to better analyze the data . It is obviously better to provide range then see one lump of data . It is not a must to have range but it is good to have .

For the range in this sample, the Range editor displays five lines in the Intervals table, and shows the option for five different colors. This has always been a point of confusion when creating range objects. In all of the Dynamic Gauge Types, except Dynamic Traffic Lights, the smallest and largest numbers of the range are used as endpoints of the displayed gauge. When the value being displayed is outside of the largest and smallest interval values, the pointer will display at the endpoint closest to the value. There are some gauge types that indicate that the value is beyond the upper or lower bound of the range based on the color setting of the largest and smallest range interval values.
